Library

The library, located at 301 Main Street, is open six days a weeks. Library hours are: Monday: 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday: 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday: 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday: 9 a.m. to noon, and Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon. City Government

Humphrey city government has a mayor and four elected council members. The council meets the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the City Library. The city office is located at 403 Main Street (Police Station). Office hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Phone and fax number is

Humphrey businesses include a motel, eating establishments, implement dealers, lumberyards, building contractors, hardware stores, gas stations, grocery store, Quick Shop, local printing, publishing and office supply store, home furnishing stores, funeral home, auto repair and supply shop, trucking firms, and a hog buying station. Package Delivery Services

Package delivery services are provided in Humphrey by the United Parcel Service, Federal Express, and RPS. Other smaller companies also offer some delivery to the area.

Post Office

The post office in Humphrey has one mail receipt and one mail dispatch daily.

Newspaper

The Humphrey Democrat, with 1,700 subscribers, is the local weekly newspaper. Other newspapers delivered locally are the Omaha World-Herald, Norfolk Daily News, and the Columbus Telegram.

Television

Regional stations carrying local news are KOLN-TV (Channel 10), Lincoln; KMTV (Channel 3), Omaha; WOW-TV (Channel 6), Omaha; KETV (Channel 7) Omaha; KLKN-TV (Channel 8), Lincoln.

Law Enforcement

The city of Humphrey employs one full-time and one part-time police officer. The Platte County Sheriff's Department in Columbus offers assistance if needed and the Nebraska State Patrol Troop B is headquartered in Norfolk.
